Overview

Yarra Contracting were proud to be engaged by fellow indigenous company BARPA construction services to undertake civil works on the Puckapunyal Defence Base as part of the Mid Term Re-fresh project.

Works consisted of upgrading existing base infrastructure, including sewer ponds works , new water treatment plants, fire tanks, retarding basins, drainage structures and pavement reinstatements.

The base is a live training area for the defence force, so careful planning and execution was required to ensure limited disruption to the important training the defence bas undertake.

  • Clay core and concrete spillway
  • FRP drainage structures
  • Bored piers and building footings
  • Concrete slabs for new buildings
  • Rectification to existing sewer and retarding basing embankments
  • Rock beaching to sewer and retarding basin embankments
