Overview

As part of the Mordialloc Freeway ex Mordialloc Freeway extension project Yarra Contracting were engaged to undertake the concrete shared user path (SUP) and concrete pavement packages with a total of 50,000m2. The SUP alone stretched 12.5km alongside the new freeway, opening up a wide area of greenspace to the public.

Yarra contracting worked closely with the client and MRPV to have approved a green solution, utilising Emesh (recycled plastic fibres) into the concrete mix, rather than the traditional steel reinforcement.
