Overview

Yarra Contracting completed the hard landscape package as part of the SEPA level crossing removal project to the new Union Station which replaced the level crossings and existing stations at Surrey Hills and Mont Albert.

The construction site stretched a distance of over 1km, the site was tight and access at times difficult due to the close proximity of existing housing and retail outlets.

Organised planning ensured that tight deadlines were met, and the work completed to a high standard.

  •         Tac-Tile install to station platforms and external areas
  •         Furniture supply and install to platforms and external areas

  •         In-situ concrete retaining walls
  •         Timber Decking
  •         Granitic gravel pavements
  •         Pre-cast seating
  •         Rock work around site (including wetland area)
  •         Main stair access to platforms
  •         Stainless steel handrails
  •         Asphalt paving
